WONDR NATION Supports Wheeler Library to Modernize Community Spaces and Preserve Cultural Heritage

The collaboration will help fund the library’s broader renovation project, expand programming, and create a dedicated Native American literature and media collection to engage future generations

WONDR NATION, the online gaming and entertainment company owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation (MPTN), today announced a $10,000 contribution to support the Wheeler Library’s renovation project and community programming.

As part of Wheeler Library’s broader $4 million renovation initiative, WONDR NATION will contribute to the overall support project focused on enhancing the library’s role as a community gathering space. The renovation project aims to modernize the facility while continuing to serve as an accessible community gathering space for residents and visitors. 

Funding from WONDR NATION will help support updates designed to enhance accessibility, improve infrastructure, and expand flexible spaces for community use. These improvements will help Wheeler Library continue serving as an important resource for residents and visitors alike.

‍As part of the collaboration, Wheeler Library will work with WONDR NATION and members of the Mashantucket Pequot community to explore opportunities that highlight Native American voices and perspectives within the library’s offerings. WONDR NATION will also host WONDR Smart Lab sessions at the library, providing interactive educational experiences designed to promote digital learning and community engagement. The first WONDR Smart Labs session takes place today, June 30, 2026.
